Heathcote Farms is a 1,150 hectare farm in Bedfordshire. The farm grows a variety of crops and are industry-leaders in sustainably farming techniques.
Heathcotes were carrying out trials to grow wheat with no added artificial nitrogen. This research is invaluable as moving towards a zero-chemical regime may be necessary in the near future based on new regulations and environmental considerations.
Through their consistent investment and ground-breaking developments in agronomy, environmental science and biotechnology, the team at Heathcote Farms are reducing their carbon footprint and making strides towards a no-till regime that can make their business more competitive and more robust.
A fellow farmer made the introduction to Easy R&D and their journey to an optimal claim started there.
“I was constantly re-assessing the funding for our research projects. If we hadn't received money back from the R&D tax relief scheme, we would probably have had to scale back our commitment to R&D.”
Our R&D tax consultant, Thorfinn Armstrong, a specialist in agricultural R&D, helped Andrew throughout the claim process and up to a successful pay-out. Since this first successful claim, Thorfinn and Andrew have partnered every year resulting in substantial R&D tax relief for Heathcote Farms from HMRC.
Easy R&D’s professionalism and thoroughness gave us the reassurance we needed to navigate to a successful claim…. If we hadn't received money back from the R&D tax relief scheme, we would probably have had to scale back our commitment to R&D.
