Rannoch Adventure R&D Tax Credit Success Story

Challenge
The company directors were uncertain about R&D tax claims, specifically about whether activities undertaken in the normal business of making marine vessels, qualified for tax relief. 

Rannoch’s team also found it challenging to identify the exact costs related to their projects and foiund it difficult supporting a R&D tax claim with a strong technical narrative.

Solution
Our consultant team spent an afternoon with the Rannoch team to explain the programme in person and to work with them to confirm what costs were eligible. 

It quickly became clear that a large portion of their normal business activity was actually R&D and there was a larger than expected claim to be submitted. 

From there Easy R&D were able to support Rannoch with a claim for the previous two years, and we worked on record keeping processes to lay the ground for future successful claims.
