Project 64 is a fast-growing design and digital agency based in Kent. They design and deliver intelligent and innovative solutions that range from graphic and brand projects to more complex digital and web development programmes, working with a variety of clients across the private and public sectors.
Project 64 were running a number of complex projects on the digital side of the business, including a project with a wealth management firm that required the design and build of complicated new online calculator tools. As the business grew, they were seeking ways to offset their growing corporation tax liabilities, but were not yet experienced or confident in making R&D tax credit claims.
A referral from an existing Easy R&D customer introduced our team to Project 64. Our consultant and technical report writer team worked in person and remotely, undertaking a thorough review of all Project 64’s eligible R&D activity. Our work quickly confirmed that a sizeable portion of their recent digital project work was eligible for a rebate under the HMRC scheme.
We developed the claim, with all the necessary technical reports and evidence, and submitted the claim for Project 64. The outcome was a significant corporation tax rebate, that reduced their tax liability to zero, making a significant and positive impact on the business’ cashflow.
Easy R&D visited us, met the team and we got on immediately. There was an immediate win-win situation for both parties. It was a fantastic process to go through.
